Mexico opens the final module of a Diploma Course on latest developments in Case Law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights

 

San José, Costa Rica, November 4, 2020.- The Inter-American Court, together with the Mexican Institute of the Federal Judiciary, have launched the second Diploma course on latest developments in the Case Law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, to take place on November 2, 4, 9 and 11, 2020.

This Program is part of the project “Institutional Capacity Building for Human Rights Protection in the Administration of Justice. Framework Cooperation Agreement between the I/A Court H.R., the National Supreme Court and the Mexican Council of the Federal Judiciary.” The purpose of the project is to build local capacities for applying international human rights law and the case law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Around 600 people have received this training, including Mexican federal judiciary staff and the general public.

The course will be held by videoconference, with the participation of Judge Ricardo Pérez Manrique of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the closing session. This final module will be taught by two professors, Claudia Martin and María Fernanda López Puleio.
