Inter-American Court updates the Digesto

San José, Costa Rica, September 2, 2021.- The Inter-American Court of Human Rights has published an update of its Case Law reflected in the Digest, updated to August 2021.

The Digest is conceived as a public document that contains all the judicial decisions of the InterAmerican Court of Human Rights (I/A Court H.R.), related to an article of the American Convention on Human Rights (ACHR). These decisions are organized by legal concept, ranging from the most abstract, to the most concrete, in context of the respective interpretation given by the Inter-American Court.

The DIGEST is updated with all Jurisprudence related to Articles 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 15, 16, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26 and 29, including updates to August 2021.

It aims to facilitate access to the regulations of the ACHR in the light of the Inter-American Court’s Jurisprudence, in order to understand the contributions that its Judgments make to the specific interpretation of the standards of the ACHR. Each Digest contains a table of contents, and sources are cited in the footnotes.
