On December 6, 2024, the Republic of Guatemala presented a request for an advisory opinion on Democracy and its protection under the Inter-American System of Human Rights to the Inter-American Court.
Pursuant to Article 73(2) of the Court’s Rules of Procedure, the President of the Court, Judge Nancy Hernández López, has established October 3, 2025, as the deadline for the presentation of written observations by organizations and by those interested in contributing to the scope of the request for an Advisory Opinion, which should be sent to the following email: [email protected]
