San José, Costa Rica, February 24, 2021
In the context of International Women’s Day, a Seminar will be held on “Challenges to gender parity in justice: Mechanisms and opportunities to overcome the obstacles to the progress of women in the judiciary” on March 8, 9 and 10, 2021, starting at 2 p.m. (Costa Rican time). The activity is organized by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights together with the Inter-American Commission of Women of the OAS.
The Seminar will consist of three panel sessions:
Panel 1 – Monday, March 8: Towards gender parity in the international and regional courts.
Panel 2 – Tuesday, March 9: Panorama of the participation of women in justice.
Panel 3 – Wednesday, March 10: Towards gender parity in all the instances of the national systems of justice.
The Seminar is virtual, open to the public and those who wish to take part can register previously here.
The event will be transmitted by the Inter-American Court’s social networks.
